Tuesday I had the fiber installed, the 50 Mbit speed.
I bought a dualband router which I connected to the standard router.
On my tablet I get full speed in the back of the garden (more than 15 meter).
Average download 48.5 Mbit and 23.5 upload.

Don't rub it in Peter - finally someone's come up with a reason for living in a populated area!

We're at the end of a few km of a ratty intermittent bit of copper wire.

It is where the investments go, if a lot of people ask questions about availability of fiber in the same area, it will become available. I have seen a lot of installations near by the last few weeks. The only thing is the price, it is a lot cheaper in Gran Alacan.
On the copper isue, I got an email from my dutch provider they raised the speed to 40 Mbit, I am on the old copperwire net there.
Btw do you know of an app to watch all the UK channels on Android?

@peterS I use filmon occasionally. A bit of a messy interface and only SD unless you subscribe. Worth a try if you are stuck.

Works great, thanks. I have just tried it on my tablet and I will it on my Venz v10 for tv use when I come back with the dog.
