Lamarina market(the new Chinese store on the urb)

My wife had the pleasure of being the first person to be allowed into the new Chinese super store on the urb,on a quick scout round we found it to be almost the same as the big merca China down by Iceland on the out skirts of lamarina urbanisation, the owners provided a great food table of free food from legs of ham to beer, wine and soft drinks, all help your self,it seems to have all those bits and pieces you might need if your stuck,I wish them well.

Really big shop, very well laid out and the Chinese people in there friendly and helpful. The young man speaks very good English and was able to sort us out with a tiny valve for the pump to blow up the paddling pool. Most impressed so far.

Also been there and found the staff very helpful. They seem to have almost everything(!) and I'm sure the shop will be successful. Access to car park from Consum Square needs care.

Seems to have better quality goods in it than other Chinese shops I have been to and as said before the staff are friendly and helpful .

The new Chinese store will be useful for anyone living on the Urb who doesn't have transport to drive down to the big store near to Lidl. Hopefully, it might attract more shops to the empty premises adjacent to the post office.

Hi

Very good store with a good range of goods a useful asset for the area.

Be very careful of the flexible plumbing hoses, I purchase one for a sink unit I was fitting it was really cheap obviously too cheap, it lasted a week then the end just came away, spent an evening clearing up the flood around the house.

Moral of the story go to a proper ferretaire for plumbing parts and pay a decent price for reliable parts.

All the best

Steve

I Bought a cover for my Gas Barbeque which deteriorated in the sun so much it was useless within 3 weeks.

My wife purchased an ironing board from there and took it back less than 3 hours later, while ironing a blouse dark brown stains started to appear on the board and then the cover melted just like bri nylon would and no the iron wasn't too hot but even if it was hot it should not have burned the cover and foam underneath. My wife had to stand and argue for a refund and only got it when she shouted and threatened to call the police. We tried all the shops on the Urb. you would have thought stocked ironing boards but with no luck until we went down in the village and bought one in the Co-Op for only 3 euro's more than the Chinese rubbish were charging. At least it didn't melt when we used it! The goods in these shops are all poor quality that's why they can sell them at such low prices. Try taking something back faulty or unusable and see what response you get. Using these type of shops are putting all the little Spanish shops out of business. Do yourselves a favour and think twice before you spend your money. ajp.

The trouble with the Chinese market is that its tat that wouldn't be allowed to be sold in the UK as our Trading Standards would have shut them down as soon as they opened. As AJP has said, by buying this crap all you are doing is putting legitimate shops out of business.

Avoid and spend a little more on quality ya tight gits!

I

I agree most of the stuff is tat. So the proverbial saying "Buy cheap, buy twice" is completely true. The p'roblem is that they sell a great variety of stuff, that you wont be able to get around the Urbs. if you want good one. One exception must be electrical goods which I wouldn't buy in a Chino shop anyway ,And definitely not while we have a fantastic Euronics on the Urb.
