We always make for El Buen Comer, when fancy a MOD in Alicante. Its on Calle Mayor 8, which is on a pedestrianized street in the old town, close to the town hall. It gets mixed reviews on trip advisor, but we've been going there for years and never had a bad meal yet.

Its a typical Spanish menu, 3 courses with bread, salad and a drink. The staff have always been friendly and helpful and at 10.50€, we think its a bargain for a city centre restaurant. There's a choice of 6 starters and 7 mains. Our favourite mains, are the veal stew and the meatballs...delicious! They do have a tapas menu at 15.75€ and a special menu at 18.80€, but we've never tried them.
