Viveros Victor came last year and cut down and took away a large pine tree behind our house. The men were good workers and had obviously done it many times before. They've got a large lorry with a Hiab to take everything for recycling. The price was very reasonable, I thought.

I think they are based in the garden centre of the same name, just outside La Marina village, going towards Guardamar, on your right.

He is Spanish. Speaks good English, and was reasonable.
He was recommended to me lives locally and I was more than happy,in fact I had him back to remove a large tree.

Thanks for this post Kate and Bob. I may be in a similar situation to yourselves regarding the property that I also have so I may just hijack a couple of the recommendations......

Sorry for joining in so late (other duties): Carmelo is actually a palm tree specialist, no ... an artist who sculpted them back in the days when we all still had palms before the invasion of the red devils some years ago. He is a professional: when our cul-de sac had to dispose of the dead trees, he came with a load of old tyres on which to drop the bits and pieces he sawed off.

Just so you know, he has two price levels, one: if you are prepared (with friends' help) to saw/cut, package, transport the waste to the garden dump and clean up, so he one quickly does the skilled bit, and two: if you are merely a spectator.
