a 100% chocolate Sagrada Familia? Visit Barcelona's chocolate
museum to discover all kind of activities around chocolate!
Barcelona hosts Catalonia's chocolate museum, Museu de la Xocolata
in Catalan language. The museum has been built on the initiative
of the Barcelona Confectionery Guild and is located in the very
centre of the town. When entering the museum, you will first
find a bar serving coffee, cappuccino, pastries and of course.thick
hot chocolate! This bar can be a good option to finish the visit.Especially
after seeing all chocolate sculptures exposed in the museum.
Among all sculptures, you can particularly appreciate a four-horse
chariot, the Sagrada Familia, Willy Wonka's chocolate factory.
Among with the sculptures are posters and movies explaining chocolate's
route from South America to Europe's palaces in the Renaissance.
You will also find some short movies with advertisement or cultural
documentaries about chocolate today in the world.
There are also activities and visits organized every week (high
season only) inside the museum. These workshops are oriented
towards scholar groups and families. Here are some examples of

The chocolate museum is open from Monday to Saturday from 10am
to 7pm and on Sundays 10am to 3pm. A single ticket will cost
you 3,90, but you can have reductions thanks to a lot of cards
: youth cards, Futbol Club Barcelona member card, student card,
invalid card, Open University of Barcelona.
