Has anybody managed to set up freesat yet and if so what equipment are you using

Hi John

Freesat or Freesat from Sky http://www.freesatfromsky.co.uk/ (£20 for a card) not sure which one you mean. However Dish wise and LNB wise they are identical. Sky system a tad better as you get 5 and 5 US etc.

Best LNB Invacom Quad + C120 adjustable feed horn
Best Digi Box for this part of Spain Pace 2600
Best Sky+ for his area box Pace 3100
Dish its up to you but ideally 2.4 (8 feet in old money)
Best Cable Tecatell Titainium Referencia: 151007 at Demon multimedia.

The above will more or less give you everything, apart from BBC2 etc

Best place to look in Spain http://www.demon-mul...ginas/index.asp
Best place to look in UK https://www.satalogue.com/contents.htm
Best site for tech help / forums http://www.digitalsp...isplay.php?f=11
Footprint info http://www.uk-satell...ion_103674.html

May be worth joining Costa Blanca EX Pats http://costablancaexpats.net/ as it has a pretty good sub group covering Sat TV etc.

Syd

Apparantly you can get "some" english TV on the Lidl dishes and boxes, may be enough for some people. Remember there is loads of stuff broadcast FTA on the Astra satelites.

Maybe help with your Spanish

Have a look at
