If you're on the Movistar 3 or 6Mb service including anti-virus, you can opt for a free upgrade to 10MB.

You can contract this online here:
My link

or just call 1004.

If you're not on the antvirus deal, you aren't entitled to the upgrade. Ref their website:

I'm not entitled, but out of interest I've run a few speed tests over the last few days, and this is typical:
Ping 50ms
Download 8.58Mb
Upload 670Kb

I tried to post a screenshot of the test results, as an image, but was told that:
'You are not allowed to use that image extension on this board.'
Eh? what? why not?

On the 6Mb plan I was getting 5.4Mb download and about 280Kb upload, so without having to do anything, I'm receiving a dramatic improvement, particularly on upload.

Anyone else noticed the same?

Sure.
Most accurate one is www.speedtest.net
Just open the webpage and click on 'BEGIN TEST'

I'm really quite impressed with the speeds we get, because we're a few miles from the nearest exchange, at the end of some really tatty old copper wire, and that exchange is a good way from the server at Torrevieja.

Yeah, I'd come across the 30MB offering, but you need to be within a few hundred metres of the exchange.

Did you do a speed-test? Curious if everyone is getting the benefit.

Glad to help - in theory the time saved by the upgrade should mean you've more time for other things; doesn't happen for me though!

As Confucius said:
A train station is where trains stop.
A bus station is where buses stop.
On my desk I have a work-station....
